Description
A coastal flood advisory was released by the National Weather Service on Monday at 2:35 p.m. in effect until 6 p.m. for Clatsop County Coast and Tillamook County Coast.
"Tidal overflow flooding expected," describes the weather service. "Coastal flooding threat is due to a combination of higher tides in addition to rivers running high due to runoff from heavy precipitation on Monday. Total tides at Toke Point, Tongue Point, and Garibaldi are forecast to be around 9.5 feet. High river flows and runoff from heavy precipitation will increase the flood potential in the tidally influenced reaches and estuaries of coastal rivers."
