Description

Former Univision news anchor Antonio Sanchez records a daily online Spanish-language news program called Noticias Noroeste. As the immigration crackdown targets more Latino families, Sanchez aims to fill a news hole left by the closure of Oregon's last trusted Spanish-language media source.

Every weekday, Antonio Sanchez dons a suit and heads to a soundproof room in a Southeast Portland basement. He turns on his cellphone, a studio light and a DIY teleprompter and records a professional quality Spanish-language newscast.
