Declared Level 3 (GO Now) evacuation level for the Agness area downgraded to a Level 2 (BE ready) to evacuate

Today, September 29, 2025, at about 10:15am, Curry County Sheriff John Ward, issued an order to lower the evacuation level for the Agness and Illahee areas from Level 3 (GO Now) to Level 2 (BE Ready). This decision is based on recommendations from fire management NW Team 13 as well as the Oregon State Fire Marshal Green Team and the Curry County Fire Defense board. Changes in the fire characteristics because of current weather conditions and the outstanding efforts of fire personnel working the incident contributed to this decision.

Area residents are urged to remain vigilant to changes in the fire and evacuation orders and remain prepared to leave immediately if it becomes necessary.
