Description

On Wednesday the 19th in the evening, I was invited out to Myrtle Point club member Shawna Horner’s beautiful home in Bridges for a baked potato bar dinner/social. How fun was that? It’s great to get to know the members in a casual home setting!
Thursday, November 20th, I visited the Myrtle Point Club at Kozy Kitchen at noon. President Mary Kay Mast was already there, setting up. The program was an update from Willy Burris, Chief of the Myrtle Point Rural Fire Protection District. He highlighted the dangerous rural roads and urged caution when driving.
Myrtle Point Honorary member, Mirium Brown, who served on the board of the MPRFPD for a long time, was there. She said, “I still listen to the scanner.” She joined Tasha Renard (Battalion Chief), and Willy for a picture afterward. They know everyone in the community, so they take their work seriously. The Rotary Club also took note of the needs of the Fire Department.
