University of Oregon President Karl Scholz; Chris Poulsen, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences; Jordan Schnitzer and Aneesh Aneesh, executive director, celebrate the launching of the Schnitzer School of Global Studies and Languages on Tuesday morning.

The University of Oregon will expand its relatively new global studies program using a $25 million gift from developer Jordan Schnitzer and his late parents, who are among Oregon’s most prominent philanthropists, the university announced Tuesday.
