Description

Diagnosed in 2023, Portland resident Christy Scattarella has been using her own journey with Alzheimer’s to uplift others and erase stigma surrounding the disease.

She began speaking out about Alzheimer’s a few months after her diagnosis. She champions her “Optimist’s Guide to Alzheimer’s” as a way to combat the fear and shame those with Alzheimer’s commonly face.

Scattarella joins us to talk more about her work.

“Think Out Loud®” broadcasts live at noon every day and rebroadcasts at 8 p.m.
