COMMUNICATIONS SUPERVISOR PICKETT CELEBRATES 15 YEARS OF SERVICE  
  
The Coos Bay Police Department proudly honors Communications Supervisor Jennifer Pickett for her remarkable 15 years of dedicated service. Jennifer began her career in September 2010 as a 911 dispatcher, answering emergency calls and serving as a lifeline for the community. Her commitment and professionalism quickly set her apart, leading to her promotion as Communications Supervisor in July 2016.  
  
Throughout her career, Jennifer has achieved significant milestones, including earning her Advanced Telecommunicator Certification and Supervisory Certification through the Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training. These credentials reflect her expertise and leadership in the demanding field of emergency communications.  
  
Jennifer has played an instrumental role in guiding the staff at North Coos 911, ensuring smooth operations and high standards of service. As a Field Training Officer, she has mentored numerous entry-level dispatchers, shaping the next generation of emergency communication professionals.

Lane County Sheriff’s detectives arrest Eugene man during Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) investigation   
  
On November 20th at about 7 a.m., Lane County Sheriff’s detectives served a search warrant at a residence in the 1900 block of Dogwood Drive in Eugene.   
  
On November 21st, the suspect, Andrew Edmund Goble, 72, of Eugene, was arrested and lodged at the Lane County Jail on 10 counts of Encouraging Child Sex Abuse in the 1st Degree and 10 counts of Encouraging Child Sex Abuse in the 2nd Degree.   
  
This search warrant stemmed from an investigation by the Lane County Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, focusing on child exploitation.   
  
The Lane County Sheriff’s Office received assistance during this investigation from the Lane County District Attorney’s Office, Homeland Security Investigations, and the Federal Bureau of Investigations.    
  
This arrest is part of an ongoing effort by local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies to combat child exploitation and protect vulnerable members of our community. The investigation is ongoing, and no further details are available at this time. Featured News by Lane County Sheriff
