CBPD SEEKS PUBLIC’S ASSISTANCE TO IDENTIFY BURGLARY SUSPECT

The Coos Bay Police Department (CBPD) is seeking assistance from the public to identify the suspect of a recent burglary of a business.

On November 21, 2025, at approximately 4:15 a.m., the CBPD received a report of an alarm at Harry Ritchie's Jewelers, 1356 N Bayshore Dr in Coos Bay. As officers arrived, they observed a broken window to the business and other evidence of a burglary. CBPD K9 Arco and a thermal drone responded to assist with the investigation, but the suspect was not located.

During the investigation, CBPD officers were provided with video of the suspect, a white male adult wearing glasses, a black hoodie, jeans, and dark-colored boots. The video shows the suspect breaking display cases within the business and stealing numerous Citizen brand watches.

CBPD requests that anyone with information regarding this case or who may recognize the suspect contact 541-269-8911 ext. 1. Tips can be anonymous.

The CBPD appreciates the assistance provided by the North Bend Police Department and the Coos Bay Fire Department in this investigation.Photos from Coos Bay Police Department's post Featured News by Coos Bay Police Department

District Governor Chris had a fantastic visit with the Myrtle Point Club, experiencing their strong sense of community firsthand!

The visit kicked off with a fun and friendly baked potato bar dinner, graciously hosted by member Shawna Horner in her Bridges home. It was a perfect example of Rotary fellowship.

Later in the week, DG Chris attended the club's meeting to hear a vital presentation from Chief Willy Burris of the Myrtle Point Rural Fire Protection District. Chief Burris delivered an important message on rural road safety. Also in attendance was Honorary Member Mirium Brown, and Battalion Chief Tasha Renard, whose deep community ties underscore their serious dedication.

The Myrtle Point Rotary Club left a strong impression with its engagement and awareness of local needs!
