🎃 Carriage of Shadows 🎃 A spooky night at the Monteith House is coming up fast, and we have a pair of Carriage of Shadows tickets for 7 p.m. on October 2. To enter, comment below and tell us who you would bring along for this haunting night out. Sharing this post with a friend is appreciated, too, but is not required to enter. Entries close at 11:59 p.m. on September 27. One winner will be selected at random from eligible comments and contacted by direct message on September 28. The winner will have three calendar days to respond. If we do not receive a response within that time, an alternate winner will be selected. The winner will need to provide an email address to receive the electronic tickets. To purchase tickets, visit the Monteith House website. 🌿 In Full Bloom 🌿 There’s getting through the Willamette Valley, and then there’s actually experiencing it. The Journal of Lost Time recently traded Interstate 5 for Highway 99 and spent a week exploring the valley without much reason to hurry. Along the way, Albany earned a couple of stops. Their journey included the hand-carved animals of the Historic Carousel & Museum, a Saturday morning at the Albany Farmers’ Market, and a lunch stop at Bhodi Cafe and Bistro. We love seeing familiar places through a visitor’s eyes. Sometimes they remind us that the best travel stories begin when you slow down and take the scenic route.
