Welcome to Coos Bay Public Schools (CBPS). I am thrilled to be the new superintendent of this outstanding public school system. I am enjoying every moment getting to know the students, staff, families and community members.

One of the primary reasons I wanted to be superintendent here in beautiful Coos Bay is the long-standing community pride and deep support for our students and schools. That support has allowed us to open two brand-new schools in the last three years – Eastside Elementary and Marshfield Junior High – and an almost new one in Madison Elementary and allows us to continue to make improvements at all our schools. These new state-of-the-art learning facilities symbolize the community's generosity and commitment to providing our students with the highest quality learning environments and safe spaces.

During my first year as superintendent, my primary goal is to hear from the community and build relationships. I need to know your dreams for our students, and your priorities for our schools. I have already started and will continue to hold listening sessions with students, families, staff and anyone from the community who cares about our schools and wants to share with me.
