Description
Fern & Wolf is a small brick-and-mortar in Foster-Powell, specializing in curated home decor and vintage furniture and focusing on local artists and makers. With a goal to be a one-of-a-kind art gallery where you can see art in a more lived-in setting, like you were at home. Fern & Wolf has a monthly artist residence with an opening night the first Saturday of the month.
Join us on June 6th from 6-9 and see the works of Daren Todd, a muralist and multidisciplinary artist based in Portland, Oregon. His artistic practice is centered around commissioned large-scale murals, vibrant abstract paintings, and explorations in stone. He is driven by ideas, often exploring multiple creative outlets to express reflections on the world around him. Daren’s art focuses the interconnectedness of humanity, our emotions, and the experiences we all share. His work fosters inclusivity and advocates for equality for marginalized communities, addressing themes such as queer visibility, racial justice, and support for immigrant communities. Through his creative firm Art Larger Than Me (https://www.artlargerthanme.com/about-me), Daren continues to engage with people in both corporate and community spaces by creating art that inspires conversations and personal reflection. Daren is a Black, LGBTQIA-identified artist.
Join us for good conversation and a (free) glass of wine.
