Description
Ruby and Camille are sisters who’ve grown a part, but were they ever really that close? In rural Oregon, estrangement, magic, and memory collide, as an ice storm locks them inside the old family cabin. After all this time… they will finally be together. Can you handle it? Sometimes you just don’t know whether to laugh or cry… Remote, by Sofia Molimbi, is a modern-day comedy about human connection, sisterhood, and the secrets we keep.
Remote is a “bare-bones” style of play, which uses the strength of its storytelling to transport us in time and space. It had its first public reading in the Fertile Ground Festival, produced by Line Storm playwrights. In this newly updated draft, the story moves deeper into the story and characters, as we uncover the true heart of their estrangement.
