Description

More than 40 leading local architecture firms present the best designs they hoped to build but that didn’t come to pass. Projects will include Allied Works’ elegant proposal commissioned by the New York Metropolitan Museum for its Modern and Contemporary Art Wing, West of West’s concept studies for infill housing in Los Angeles and Portland, Henneberry Eddy’s adaptive reuse of the recently destroyed Centennial Mills, and many more.

In addition, the exhibition offers visions from Portland’s past, from Edward Bennett’s 1932 plan to reenvision Portland in the City Beautiful movement to Skidmore Owings Merrill’s “Delta Dome,” a 40,000-seat stadium in Delta Park, to GGN’s radical re-envisioning of Mt Tabor Park.
