• Current applicable state license as a Registered Nurse/ Nurse Midwife/
• Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Privileges (NP-PP) required.
• National Certification as a Nurse Midwife (MW) required.

• Work Schedule
• Full time schedule includes four outpatient clinic shifts and midwifery call.
• The hospital supports a night midwifery coverage program Mon-Thurs nights.
• Overview
• Work closely with 2 other midwives and 2-3 obstetricians/gynecologists.
• Practice independently with supportive physicians for consultations and backup. The practice has in-office ultrasound. 
• Assist in c-sections.
• The clinic is steps away from the in-hospital birth center at Bay Area Hospital where staff is patient oriented and supportive of midwifery birthing methods.
• Midwives and nurse practitioners are actively involved in clinic planning and decisions.
