Description

The Willamette Falls Locks, which run along the West Linn side of Willamette Falls offering passage for watercraft, have been closed since 2011. The Willamette Falls Locks Authority is now trying to reopen them to Willamette River traffic.

More than 150 years after the Willamette Falls Locks first opened, and 15 years after they closed, the historic canal and lock system on the Willamette River is ready for a fresh start.
