Description
Two people were injured in a shooting incident in Northeast Portland on Friday morning.

Police responded to the shooting report just before 7 a.m., in the 4200 block of Northeast Halsey Street.
“I can confirm that a shooting happened,” Portland Police Bureau Sgt. Kevin Allen said. “Two people appear to be struck.”
It happened in an area with several nearby businesses, but Allen said it did not happen inside any of the businesses.
“No immediate arrests, but detectives are responding to investigate,” Allen said.
According to Portland’s Bureau of Emergency Communications, more than 25 police units were still at the scene as of 8 a.m.
Portland Fire & Rescue sent two engines to triage and treat injuries at the scene. Halsey Street was closed between Northeast 42nd and 43rd avenues.
Portland Fire is on scene of a shooting in the Hollywood District. Engine 28 and Engine 9 along with C4 on scene working by triaging and treating injuries on scene prior to transport of patient to the hospital.
