Description
On a typical August day in the northwest corner of Mount Hood National Forest in rural Clackamas County, the Clackamas River would be dotted with campers, hikers and tourists looking to explore one of the state’s most famous landmarks.
Tuesday, however, brought a far more desolate scene along Clackamas River Road, as three new wildfires burned across the area while the 77,000-acre Grasshopper fire raged on the other side of the mountain.
