Description

As part of Portland Parks environmental education, preschoolers and their parents take part in a guided nature hike through Laurelhurst Park. Fewer than 60% of Oregon parents report their young child has hit milestones to be ready for kindergarten.

Oregon has the nation’s third lowest rate of children on track to be ready for kindergarten, above only Arkansas and Kentucky, according to new data from the National Survey of Children’s Health.
