A U.S. Coast Guard boat scours the waters off of Cape Lookout during the July 4th, 2026 rescue mission.

Search and rescue teams from a dozen local and federal agencies rescued a 4-year-old girl on July Fourth after she went missing at Oregon’s Cape Lookout State Park.
