Michael O'Callaghan ran for Portland mayor in 2020 and 2024. He died Wednesday after being struck by a MAX train.

The bicyclist struck and killed by a MAX train Wednesday in Southeast Portland has been identified as Portland activist Michael O’Callaghan, according to the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office.
