Description

Oregon has some of the nation's highest costs for child care and its supply of free preschool is extremely limited compared to other states. U.S. Rep. Janelle Bynum has heard loud and clear from constituents that working parents need help affording care for their children.

An advocacy group hoping to expand support for child care and elder care plans to spend $50 million to back Democrats in congressional races, tying the costs of caregiving to the nation’s affordability debate.
