Los Angeles prosecutors will not seek the death penalty against Nick Reiner if he is convicted of killing his parents, filmmaker Rob Reiner and photographer Michele Reiner, a decision that removes the most severe punishment from one of the country’s highest-profile murder cases. Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman announced the decision Tuesday before a hearing in downtown Los Angeles, Reuters reported.
