Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police arrested Di-Quan Schafar Hunt after investigators linked social media videos to a July 30 assault that left a woman hospitalized with serious injuries.

A Charlotte man has been arrested after investigators linked him to a violent assault that was captured on video and shared on social media, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. Authorities said 32-year-old Di-Quan Schafar Hunt was taken into custody Aug. 6 after detectives reviewed videos connected to an active investigation, WBTV reported.
