Description

Students in Eugene marched out of school in 2023 to protest NW Natural’s effort to reverse the city’s natural gas ban, which the City Council later rescinded. Activists in Eugene are now pushing to establish a climate fund which would, among others, help pay for the electrification of households and businesses.

Inspired by the unprecedented financial success of Portland’s cash-rich climate fund, environmental groups are pushing to establish a similar fund in Eugene.
