State Rep. Maxine Dexter, a doctor who is one of three leading candidates seeking the Democratic nomination for Oregon's 3rd Congressional District, is the beneficiary of $1.27 million in advertising buys to support her in the race. That far outstrips how much money her opponents have to spend.

A group that aims to elect progressives with science training to Congress has dropped more than $1.25 million to support state Rep. Maxine Dexter in the race for Oregon’s 3rd Congressional District.
