DEQ release - QUICK FACTS - Locations: Baker, Crook, Deschutes, Northern Harney, Grant, Jefferson, northern Malheur, Morrow, Union, southern Umatilla and Wheeler counties. End date: At least Friday afternoon, July 24, 2026. Smoke source: Multiple wildfires in southern, central and eastern Oregon. The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality extended an air quality advisory on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, for Baker, Crook, Deschutes, northern Harney, Grant, Jefferson, northern Malheur, Union, southern Umatilla and Wheeler counties due to smoke from multiple wildfires in Oregon: DEQ also added Morrow county to the air quality advisory. DEQ expects the air quality advisory to last until at least Friday afternoon, July 24, 2026. DEQ and partner agencies will continue to monitor smoke in the areas. DEQ also expects intermittent smoke in Clackamas, eastern Douglas, northern Jackson, Klamath, Lake and Wallowa counties until Friday afternoon, July 24, 2026. Smoke levels can change rapidly depending on weather.
