On Friday at 12:52 p.m. an air quality alert was reported by the National Weather Service in effect until Monday at 10 a.m. for Deschutes County.
"Oregon Department of Environmental Quality has issued an Air Quality Advisory for southern Deschutes County until 10 a.m. Monday. An Air Quality Advisory for stagnation has been issued. An area of high atmospheric pressure is forecasted to settle into the region, causing stagnant air conditions near the surface that will trap air pollutants. This advisory includes the city of La Pine. It does NOT include Bend, Redmond, or Sisters," states the weather service.
