The National Weather Service released an air stagnation advisory at 2:39 p.m. on Thursday valid from Friday 10 a.m. until Sunday 10 a.m. for Klamath Basin, Northern and Eastern Klamath County and Western Lake County and Central and Eastern Lake County.
"Decreased air quality will likely develop. This is due to an inversion and stagnant air conditions near the surface that will continue to trap pollutants within the valleys of Klamath and Lake County," can be anticipated according to the weather service. "A strong area of high pressure will build in briefing Friday and Saturday before weakening slightly on Sunday. This will lead to poor mixing of the atmosphere and the trapping of pollutants."
