A single-engine airplane crashed into trees on the Central Oregon Coast, Wednesday, near Wakonda Beach Airport, at Waldport, Wednesday, Feb. 11. According to reports, the accident occurred about 1:30 p.m. near the short grass field next to Wakonda Beach Road. Trees line the run way at both ends. The pilot, not injured, was reportedly trapped inside the wreckage. Emergency responders, however, were able to free him from the branches about 50-feet above the ground.
