Amazon promises faster deliveries, even in rural areas. But the tech giant is bumping up against worries about its impact on smaller communities.

Amazon’s Oregon is expanding its delivery network beyond massive warehouses, moving into smaller facilities outside the Portland area to expedite deliveries in rural areas and modest-sized cities.
