🇺🇸 America's 250th Birthday Celebration at VFW Post 966 🇺🇸
The members of Charles W. Lingard Memorial VFW Post 966 warmly invite the community to join us as we celebrate the 250th birthday of the United States of America.
The celebration will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the Post, located at 507 Pacific Avenue, Brookings, Oregon. Post Commander Mike Hamilton will welcome guests and open the ceremony, followed by an invocation led by Post Chaplain Paul Hoynacki.
Guests will then hear from Post Trustee Jerry Law, who will share reflections on our nation's history, the sacrifices that have secured our freedoms, and the values that continue to make America a great country.
The ceremony will continue with a special presentation by the VFW Post 966 Honor Guard, featuring a rifle team ceremony accompanied by bugle honors. This patriotic tribute recognizes the service, sacrifice, and dedication of those who have defended our nation throughout its history.
Following the Honor Guard presentation, Commander Hamilton will recognize those in attendance and lead a Ceremonial Birthday Cake Cutting in honor of America's 250 years of freedom, independence, and resilience.
The celebration will conclude with complimentary cake and ice cream, providing an opportunity for neighbors, families, veterans, and community members to gather together in fellowship and celebration.
