🚨Animal Control Complaint Leads to Warrant Arrest🚨  
  
On March 2nd, 2026, at around 12:30 PM, Animal Control Deputy Paterson was out near Boat Basin Road in Coos Bay investigating an animal complaint he had received. Someone had reported seeing a black and white Pitbull that appeared to be locked in a car by itself for several days in a row.   
  
Deputy Paterson located the dog, and learned through his investigation, that the person responsible for the dog was Venassa Epperson (31). Deputy Paterson was able to locate Epperson, and detained her until Deputy Converse arrived.   
  
Deputy Converse arrested Epperson for an outstanding Warrant, and Deputy Paterson successfully rescued the dog, and took it back to the animal shelter for a nice meal and some proper care.
