April 19–25, 2026 has been proclaimed Volunteer Appreciation Week in Tualatin, recognizing and celebrating the incredible impact of volunteers in our community.  
  
In 2025, more than 1,500 volunteers contributed approximately 14,500 hours of service—the equivalent of about seven full-time employees—helping to strengthen and support our community. Volunteers generously give their time, talents, and energy, continuing a long-standing tradition of service by individuals, families, and local businesses.  
  
The City of Tualatin is proud to honor these dedicated individuals whose selfless and compassionate efforts make a meaningful difference. Our volunteers truly embody a community that is connected through kindness.  
  
This proclamation was adopted at the April 13, 2026 City Council Meeting.  
  
We encourage everyone to join us in thanking and celebrating our volunteers during Volunteer Appreciation Week.
