About $40,000 worth of U.S. Army helicopter gear and equipment was stolen out of this rental SUV parked in a lot on Southwest Alder Street in October. The theft was reported on Oct. 30, 2025, according to a federal affidavit.

Portland police and federal investigators have been searching since October for a stash of U.S. Army helicopter gear and equipment that was stolen from a rented SUV parked in a downtown Portland lot.
