Commissioners Nafisa Fai (left) and Pam Treece (Middle) are vying to succeed controversial Washington County Chair Kathryn Harrington. A third candidate, Jenny Kamprath (right), has also stepped into the race.

Voters will soon be asked to name a replacement for the leader of one of Oregon’s most influential regions as Washington County’s controversial chair, Kathryn Harrington, steps down next year.
