Asking Eric: New supervisor hits brick wall when employees say; ‘That’s not how we do things’

It’s to the point where every time I walk in the door and ask to get something done, the employees do the exact opposite.

Dear Eric: I started a new job a year ago. I took over as a supervisor at a municipal agency and from an individual who was retiring and who is a friend of mine.
