North Bend Police responded Sunday morning, Jan. 25, 2026 to a report of a suspicious subject being injured.  According to a news release – a 30-year old female had been allegedly assaulted by 40-year old Korry Alexis Matthews.  The victim required medial attention.  Matthews had two active warrants for his arrest in addition to an active restraining order “in which the victim was the protected party.  Matthews reportedly was in possession of firearms “and lived in a barricaded location attached to the residence.”  The Coos Co. Emergency Response Team was activated to assist in apprehending Matthews.  After one-hour, Matthew was located and apprehended.  “A firearm with an attached grenade launcher and suspected narcotics related items were found in his possession.”  Korry Alexis Matthews was charged with a warrant arrest for FTA on previous charges of Robbery, Theft, Assault, Strangulation, Harassment and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.  Also, Assault and Violation of a Restraining Order.
