Port Orford Police release - On Monday, February 2nd at around 12:30 p.m., two men were involved in a confrontation at Buffington Park in Port Orford, which resulted in one of the men being shot by the other. The gunshot victim, who suffered non-life-threatening injuries, was transported to a local hospital by ambulance.  The suspect, 39-year-old Robert Ryan Anderson of Port Orford, fled the scene, and after an extensive search by personnel from the Port Orford Police Department, the Oregon State Police, the Brookings Police Department, and the Curry County Sheriff’s Office, the suspect remains at large. We are asking our citizens for information if he has been seen.  If you see him, call 911. Do not approach Mr. Anderson as he is presumed Armed and Dangerous.  Anonymous tips can be phoned in to the Curry County Sheriff’s Dispatch Center at 541-247-3242, ext # 9.
