ODFW release - REMINDER:  This message is a courtesy reminder that the ocean recreational salmon mark-select (fin-clipped) coho season between Cape Falcon and the Oregon/California Border is closed.  Anglers are reminded that following the closure to coho retention on August 18, the fishery from Cape Falcon to Humbug Mountain remains open for all salmon except coho, with a two salmon daily bag limit through October 31, 2026, except as provided in the non-mark-selective coho fishery. The scheduled non-mark-select (no fin-clip requirement) will open on Tuesday September 1, 2026. The Chinook minimum size limit is 24".  Anglers in the area from Humbug Mountain to the Oregon/California Border are reminded that all salmon except coho remains open through August 31, 2026, with a two salmon daily bag limit. In this area coho retention is prohibited for the rest of the year.
