ASL Environmental Sciences has unveiled the AZFP-nano Lagrangian surface drifter, a compact 200 kHz echosounder platform recently field-tested by Oregon State University researchers studying humpback, blue, and fin whale predator-prey dynamics off the Oregon coast. The battery-powered drifter requires no fixed mooring or vessel support.
