Description

This quick, pantry-friendly oatmeal has banana bread sensibilities: It gets its sweetness from mashed banana and its toastiness from nut butter and cinnamon. Cooking the oats in a combination of milk and water makes it creamy but not stodgy, while a scattering of toasted nuts gives these soft bowls a bit of crunch. (You can add more texture with hemp or flax seeds, too.) If your banana isn't super ripe, you may want to add some maple syrup for sweetness to balance the earthiness of the nuts and oats.
