On Monday at 2:21 p.m. the National Weather Service issued a beach hazards statement valid from 10 p.m. until Tuesday 1 p.m. for South Central Oregon Coast and Curry County Coast.
"Moderate risk of sneaker waves expected," comments the weather service. "While sneaker waves can occur at any time, the greatest risk is on an incoming tide. Please be aware of the tides if venturing out onto the beaches. The high tide Tuesday on southern Oregon beaches is roughly 11 am to 1 pm PST."
