On Sunday at 4:21 a.m. the National Weather Service released a beach hazards statement valid from 7 a.m. until Monday 4 p.m. for South Central Oregon Coast and Curry County Coast.
"Moderate risk of sneaker waves expected," states the weather service. "While sneaker waves can occur at any time, the greatest risk is on an incoming tide. Please be aware of the tides if venturing out onto the beaches."
