The National Weather Service released a beach hazards statement at 2:08 p.m. on Thursday valid from 7 p.m. until Friday 10 p.m. for South Central Oregon Coast and Curry County Coast.
"Moderate risk of sneaker waves expected," comments the weather service. "While sneaker waves can occur at any time, the greatest risk is on an incoming tide. Please be aware of the tides if venturing out onto the beaches. The high tides will occur roughly between 2 and 3 a.m. and again around 2 to 3 p.m. Friday."
