Artist Kyle Holbrook worked with courthouse officials and participants of its two treatment courts to paint a mural, unveiled at the beginning of this month.Artist Kyle Holbrook studies the mural in the municipal courthouse before making additional changes on Thursday, Aug. 28, 2025.The mural, shown here a week before its unveiling, came together after months of planning by Beaverton city and court officials.Artist Kyle Holbrook touches a part of the mural to get a better perspective on Aug. 28, 2025.To begin the mural project, artist Kyle Holbrook dipped a paintbrush in orange and handed it to participants of the two treatment courts to write a message.On the mural inside the courtroom, one of the messages written in orange is shown here on Thursday, Aug. 28, 2025.Artist Kyle Holbrook painted the mural with the help of treatment court participants, city and court officials in about two weeks.Inside Courtroom B, Kyle Holbrook worked with treatment court participants to paint a second mural where jagged mountains cut through a landscape of blue, green and yellow.

In the Beaverton Municipal Courthouse, one wall outside Courtroom B stands out.
