An Oregon couple that has lived in the Willamette Valley for decades has made a difficult decision to leave the country to avoid being caught in the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown. They will leave three adult children behind and their families. April 1, 2025

It was late on Nov. 5 when Estrella and her husband, Chivo, realized their lives were about to change.
