The Commission of Fine Arts, on March 19, 2026, approved a 24-karat gold coin featuring President Donald Trump’s likeness to commemorate America’s 250th anniversary.

A retired Portland lawyer cannot stop the U.S. Mint from producing a 24-karat gold coin bearing President Donald Trump’s image because he failed to demonstrate that he would personally suffer harm, a federal judge ruled.
