Big news on federal PCIP grants from the Port of Coos Bay!
At its July meeting, the Port Commission approved two major federal grant agreements that mark a pivotal milestone for the Pacific Coast Intermodal Port (PCIP) project.
These federal grants—one through the CRISI program and the other through the Railroad Crossing Elimination program—unlock more than $33 million to support planning, engineering, and early-stage improvements to rail infrastructure and public safety. Combined with nearly $21 million in matching funds, this is a transformational step forward for our region and the future of freight movement.
We’re proud to keep delivering for Oregon’s South Coast and look forward to sharing more updates soon, including finalization of the federal INFRA grant awarded last year.
