At 12:32 p.m. on Sunday, the National Weather Service released a winter storm watch valid from Tuesday 5 p.m. until Thursday 5 a.m. for North Oregon Cascades, Cascades of Marion and Linn counties and Cascades of Lane County.
"Heavy snow possible above 3500 ft. Total snow accumulations between 9 to 18 inches possible. Winds could gust as high as 45 mph," describes the weather service. "Latest guidance suggests the heaviest snow accumulations are forecast over the Cascades from Marion to Lane counties."
