Coos Bay Public Library, 525 Anderson Ave., Coos Bay, OR - Preschool Art, Thursday, August 21 in the Myrtlewood Room, 10:00am – 11:00am. Toddlers and preschoolers get ready to craft! This summer the Library will offer a hands-on arts and craft program for toddlers and preschoolers (and their parent or caregiver) the third Thursday of the month. Each month will feature a different craft and highlight a pre-kindergarten readiness skill. All supplies provided.

Unlimited Book Club at CBPL

CBPL release - Thursday, August 21 at 6:00 pm, the Unlimited Book Club will meet on Zoom. Unlimited is a joint venture of the Coos Bay Public Library and the North Bend Public Library. We formed to encourage awareness and foster community discussions on equity, diversity, and inclusion through reading and thoughtful conversation. Unlimited meets every third Thursday of the month. This meeting will be an opportunity for members to meet and discuss our next title, a film selected by book club members, The Black Panthers: Vanguard of the Revolution. Note: we decided to watch a film in August to give us more time to read our 560-page September book, Demon Copperhead. Suggestions for future readings will come from members of Unlimited.
